Damián Calvo is a director of photography, photographer, and award-winning filmmaker. His work crosses genres from documentary and narrative films to fine art and commercial photography. He has enjoyed a close collaboration with artists and musicians. His recent film work includes cinematography on the award winning feature documentary "Tony Conrad : Completely in the Present". Also, Southern Journey (Revisited), a music documentary and road trip across the American south was written up as one of The Guardian’s picks of 2020. Recently Damian has also collaborated with flamenco legend Miguel Poveda creating the images for his Latin Grammy nominated album. "Sonetos y Poemas Para La Libertad” and also Poveda’s music video “Diverso.”

Through his career, Damián has worked extensively all over the US and Europe and his collaborative work has been presented in museums and international film festivals including, Tate gallery London, The Museum of The City of New York, Sundance Film Festival, Vienna International Film Festival, Edmonton International Film Festival, BAMcinemaFest, and the Swiss Institute.
